How Happy Highlights works - Our features

Mood Meter

Take a moment to reflect on how you are feeling, and track this throughout the day (available every hour).

Music

Start by creating a Library of go-to tracks that help to manage your mood (e.g. make you feel calm, uplifted, motivated, relaxed, energised). The more we know about what works for you, the better our recommendations will be. You can keep adding tracks to your Library.
We will then recommend music based on how you want to feel. We will also offer you a daily selection of your #HappyTracks to choose from, as well as songs that are trending in your geographic area.
To play music recommendations you require access to Spotify and/or YouTube. No sign-in required via Happy Highlights.

Happy Activities

“Let yourself be silently drawn by the strange pull of what you really love. It will not lead you astray.” RUMI
One of our aims is to help you learn more about the activities that make you happy, so that you can more actively incorporate these into your day-to-day life.
Your Happy Activities may surprise you and may even change from week to week - just keep doing what you love, whatever it is!

Diary

This contains data from your Mood Meter and much more! It is a place for you to reflect on your day and identify the activities that made you happy. Make sure to upload some pictures - you can look back on these memories whenever you are in need of some happy inspiration.
You can fill this out on the day itself or retrospectively (i.e. going back and adding to previous days). Just use the calendar drop-down or arrows to navigate.

Moodalytics

This is your summary dashboard over time - you can select from our time period options or look at a “custom” range. It shows:
Spend some time each week reflecting on your Moodalytics data (we’ll send you a reminder every Sunday). This will help you spot patterns and identify what contributes towards your positive mental wellbeing. You can then use this information to build on-going strategies that work for you! For example, you may uncover which days you tend to feel most stressed and look to relieve such feelings by ensuring you do something fun (e.g. your top Happy Activity of the week).

Feedback

As we are new, we would love to know if/how we can improve the app. You can share your thoughts (as many times as you like) through the “Provide Feedback” section in the "My" tab.

We hope you find Happy Highlights useful!

Remember, we all have our ups and downs when it comes to how we are feeling. So don’t worry if you are having a few down days or even a couple of weeks. We will help you spot patterns and build strategies that work for you. But if these feelings do continue for longer or you feel in distress, please reach out to someone. It can help to talk to a loved one, or a professional (e.g. a doctor) if you feel you need it.
